Catching Up!

I can't believe a month has passed with "no post". Time flies. Over Easter weekend Roger, Andrew and I went to DC and visited friends and did some sightseeing. It was really a great trip. We flew in on Good Friday and what a spectacular view. I made sure we sat on the left side of the plane so we could get a good view of the monuments flying in. When you fly in you can just feel the history surrounding you. We had lunch in Georgetown and walked the mall and saw the monuments that night. Beautiful warm weather and cherry blossoms in full bloom. Saturday we went to the American Indian museum had lunch and then were off to Arlington Cemetery. Roger had never seen the changing of the guard. It is quite impressive even though I have seen it several times. Saturday night was dinner with friends and Easter Sunday we headed for the History museum and a walk past the White House before heading back for some relaxation before flying home. Thanks to a good friend for letting us stay in her beautiful condo for the weekend and being our tour guide. Sorry we never got to die the easter eggs.

The next weekend we were off to Indy. I had a conference and Roger came along. Got to spend time with the grandchildren. Saturday night had dinner with the McCools (PJ, Kyle,B,C, Mike & Bell). We love Kyles in laws. The weather was great and we got to sit outside. It is becoming our tradition that when we visit, Brennan comes back to the hotel with us. Friday night it seemed he couldn't make up his mind. So Saturday night we took him with us. We have a ritual. Off to the hotel in "grandmas car". I love it when he calls it that. We walk into the room and he immediately says "mickey mouse" because he knows we can rent movies. Then he checks out the view at the big window. After that I sit him in the middle of the kingsize bed all propped up on pillows and he watches Mickey Mouse. I think it goes, Miska, Mooska, Mousketeer....or something like that. After that it's HGTV and we fall asleep. He loves to snuggle which of course I love and falls asleep holding my hand. During the waking hours he is all about "his" Grandpa, but at bedtime Grandma is his "go to". I think it is almost time for C to have her first sleepover at the hotel. I better sign them up for Marriott Rewards :) Pics will follow shortly.
